Concert Albums



Four concert albums were released during Miss Dietrich's solo career, although only two of these were actually recorded during live performances: Marlene Dietrich at the Café de Paris (1954) and Marlene Dietrich Live at the Queen's Theatre (1964).

Dietrich in Rio (1959) and Wiedersehen mit Marlene (1960) were in fact studio recordings mixed with applause – most probably pre-recorded on tour – to create pseudo-live albums.

However, several of Marlene's concerts were recorded, remaining unreleased – including: Café de Paris (London, 1955 & 1957), Chicago (1961) and the Olympia (Paris, 1962). Selected tracks from the Olympia concert have recently been released on the EMI Der Blonde Engel boxed set and the Marlene Forever album.
