Wits Woodworkers Association
PO Box 129, Parklands 2121, South Africa
Established in 1990, the Witwatersrand Woodworkers
Association (WWA) is a non-profit organisation that exists to promote and maintain
interest, skill and excellence in the working of wood.
We support all facets of woodworking, and have amateurs from all walks of life and many
professional woodworkers among our members.
Monthly meetings, serve as a forum for the interests of our members. Many specific interest-groups and workshops convene at various times during the month (see below for details). A single, annual fee allows access to all facilities and groups, with no additional fees levied. We welcome all that have an interest in woodworking, and thrive on new membership and fresh ideas. Contact us using the postal address above or contact the secretary on email at Ken.woodman AT gmail.com for further details.
Monthly meetings:
Turners - First Monday of the month at the new clubhouse at REEA at 18h00.
Main Club - Second Wednesday of the month at the new clubhouse at 18h00.
Toymakers - First and third Monday of every month, 9h00 till 12h00. Contact Eddie Marchio on (011) 678-8062 or on email at rm22 AT mweb.co.za for more information.
Wednesday Workshop - First
and third Wednesday of the month, at 18h00 till 20h00. Contact Winston Klein on (011)

Our clubhouse is in an environment with trees, next to the Braamfontein Spruit, with the Delta Park Environment Centre across the river. There is secure parking and the REEA nursery is on the same site. The map shows the location. If you are unfamiliar with the area, locate Jan Smuts Avenue (R27) and the William Nichol Highway (R81) on your street guide and then navigate in from there.
