Shannon was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1967. She
is married, has two daughters, and lives in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal.
Shannon's interest in photography started with a trip to New
York where she became fascinated by local scenes captured in black
and white photography. She became aware that the most mundane
subject matter became extremely beautiful when captured by this
medium, but that the medium itself demanded the utmost perception
and attention to detail.
Having studied both Interior Design and Photography, it was
natural for Shannon to meld her talents and training to create
a product
that can be displayed and enjoyed either in the home or in a
corporate environment.
Shannon believes that we tend to take God’s handiwork too
much for granted, sometimes not seeing the small and beautiful
things around us properly in context with our hectic and busy
modern day lifestyles. It is her aim to draw our attention back
to His beauty in our lives, in a medium that can be enjoyed indefinitely
and without the distraction of a complicated background.
