All of my design work was driven by passion. Looking in retrospect, the projects I did involved hard work, but it was soon forgotten, what's left behind were sweet memories and inspiration for many beginners. Reverie started as a software engineering project at the University of Pretoria. It was done in 1999 by 5 final year computer science students. But it was not an ordinary project. Besides winning the software engineering prize of the year, Reverie was in every way a full-scale computer game, featuring excellent game design, artwork, 3D engine programming and network play. It really pushed the development team to their very limits, especially when all of us were working with very limited time and budget. At the end of the year 1999, Reverie was submitted to Milia 2000 multimedia student competition. Milia is a new multimedia conference held in Cannes, France. The purpose of this page's existence is to encourage young people who are in the same position as us to explore your game development, graphics and programming talent.

There has always been overwhelming demand by enthusiastic young people for more information of Reverie. Documenting a project of this size is not easy, especially when you have to make it accessible through the web. Here are the bits and pieces you can check out on my home page.
