On my left, dances a devil.

In the middle I draw and write
(my favourite place).

When I was a boy, I sat at this table at meal times, listening to tales told by my family.  Years later, I inherited my ouma’s dining room table and turned it into an
‘illustrated’ work table – where I now sit, making pictures and writing stories!

On my right, dances an angel.

‘Obz’ library is in station Road, Observatory (Cape Town) where I grew up. I received my first big yellow library card here. These days, it’s all computerized with internet facillities.

The Book Lounge speciality – cub cakes theme-iced! As Carmen Daisy might say,’Sweedalicious!’

St Cyprian’s girls – ‘taking a line for a walk’ (one of the art activities that made promoting Bettina Valentino and the Picasso Club such fun).

With wonderful Swedish children’s book writer and illustrator, Pija Lindenbaum  at the Litteralund Book Festival, Lund Sweden.

With the children of Goa (Ghana), where they damatised Fly Eagle Fly and made ‘Eagle collages’.  The Goa Library was built by the Osu Library Fund.
