Polish-English Dictionary
This dictionary was collected while translating
Polish model instructions and histories of models. Because of this, not
only words of use in model construction are included. It consists of about
6800 words and phrases. This may make its use clumsy for some users, who
may prefer the short glossary from the paper model FAQ.
The special letters of the Polish alphabet are
not included - most English speakers use fonts which don't display these
letters. Any errors are due to the fact that I do not speak/understand
Polish or due to typing mistakes, and I apologise in advance.
I have provided it in spreadsheet format (.wk1).
This gives the smallest size and most spreadsheet, database and even word
processor programmes can import it.
It is tedious to scroll through such a long
list of word. I have written a small programme to access the list as
I type in a word. My suggestion is that the user either writes their own
similar programme or asks a friend to do so for them.
