Nimrod lives in Carletonville, South Africa and works as an ophthalmic nursing assistant at a hospital on a gold mine.
He became interested when a neighbour's daughter asked for help with a school project and together they designed a mine pit-head gear and surrounding buildings out of cardboard and paper.
At present he mostly enjoy building models which can be downloaded from the internet - some examples of his models follow:
