*** A Simplified Version ***
If you are able to buy "Pringle" boxed chips in your country, first of all EAT all
the chips up, then give the box a quick 'wipe' out. You will notice that the inside
of the box is lined with a "silver foil" ..... yes, *perfect* for reflecting the
sun's rays!!
Using a sharp knife, cut a long slit from one end of the box to the other, leaving
2-3cm closed at each end. Now cut a slit "across" each end of the first slit, about
2-3cm either side of it.
Now, this is the tricky part as you have to work carefully so that the whole
box does not collapse! Gently open both sides of the long slit so that the sun
can shine into the box.
Punch a whole through both ends of the box (one metal and the other the
plastic lid), and push a wooden skewer through the metal side hole. Fetch
your sausage (preferably a 'vienna'), and thread it onto the skewer.
Put the plastic lid on the box, push the end of the skewer through the hole in
the lid, and "voila" - your suncooker is ready!
Rest you 'cooker' on two stones, or even on a table, in the direct sun but make
sure that the ants and all the other hungry 'nasties' won't get to it. Turn the
skewer with your hand now and then to heat the sausage all over.
Yum Yum...... ENJOY!
