OUR "FAMILY"
We have recently had a few changes to our company as many of the older girls left us. We have now got some new girls who have moved up from Brownies.
Our Guider
Our Guider is Margaret, ("Ladybird").
Our Assistant Guider
Our Assistant Guider is "Kingfisher" (otherwise known as Audrey!). Kingfisher is a qualified theatre sister as well as a nursery school teacher, so she comes with all the *right* qualifications for this job! She is also NUTS about craft work!
Our Patrols
FLAMINGO
- Vanessa (12),was enrolled in September 1998 and has already been on her first camp! She is the Patrol Leader and has earned the Discoverer's core and 3 flashes already viz. Community, Home & Yourself, and Out of Doors.
- Tessa (11), was enrolled in May 1999 and has earned her Discoverer's core as well as the Home & Yourself, Out of Doors, and Arts & Crafts flashes. She also attended her first camp in May.
- Candice (10), enrolled in May 1999 is our "smallest" Guide. She has earned her Discoverer's Core and Out of Doors and Arts & Crafts flashes already. She attended the camp in May.
- Estelle (12), enrolled in Oct.1999, has earned the Discoverer's Core.
SWALLOW
- Bronwynn (15) and the Patrol Leader, has completed the Discoverer's Challenge, and is working on the Explorer's Challenge. She already has the core and one flash (Out of Doors). She has also earned 14 Proficiency Badges and 1 Emblem. Bronwynn is one of our avid campers, having attended 4 camps.
- Judith (12), was also enrolled in September 1998 and has been to 2 camps. She has completed her Discoverer's Challenge and is now working on the Explorer's core. flash. Judith is the *artistic* one in the company and loves drawing.
- Nadine (12), joined us in May 1999 and has already earned her Discoverer's core, as well as 3 flashes (Home & Yourself, Out of Doors and Arts & Crafts). She has attended one camp in May. On top of this she already has 8 Proficiency badges and 1 Emblem! Keep it up Nadine.
- Emerentia (11) was also enrolled in May 1999 and has earned her Discoverer's core and attended one camp.
WAGTAIL
- Sandra (15) and the Patrol Leader,
has completed both her Discoverer's and Explorer's Challenges and
is currently working on her Chief's Challenge. She has earned 32 Proficiency
Badges and 7 Emblems, including her All Round Emblem. Another 'camp lover', she has attended 4 camps.
- Kim (11), enrolled in May 1999, has completed her Discoverer's core and earned 3 flashes (Community, Out of Doors, Arts & Crafts). She attended the camp in May as well.
- Sharyn (12), was enrolled in September 1998. She has completed her Discoverers Challenge and is now working towards gaining the Explorer's core. May was her camp time!
- Emma (12) Kingfishers' daughter, was enrolled in May 1999 and has earned the Discoverer's core and 3 flashes (Arts & Crafts, Community, Out of Doors). Emma came to camp with us in May.
