Hi Laurence

How are you doing?

I recently had another fight with my eXplorist GPS   :-) . I'm going on a trip with the bike and wanted to plot a route to follow on the background maps I created (new ones created from Tracks4Africa maps). Anyway, so I used Mapsource to plan the route as the new T4A maps support auto routing. This worked great and I managed to save the routes in gdb format. So now they had to be converted into Magellan language - not so easy. The problem eventually was that you can only have 50 waypoints making up a route in MapSend. And my route had over 300 points. You can split this into 6 routes, but that would be ridiculous.

The solution was to convert the Garmin routes into Magellan tracks and it works like a bomb. Now the track can be followed on the GPS. Please see the attached .txt file (instructions now listed below) for instructions. Dunno if this will be useful or if you want to add this to your web site.

Cheers
Christo
