What you can expect to achieve per session bearing in mind that people
learn at their own pace:
Day/Session 1 - Discover the world of kiting!!
- First piloting
- Master the skill of flying a
trainer kite (foil kite) with control
- Learn the setup of an
- Get your first feeling of
flying an inflatable kite.
Day/session 2 - Become self
sufficient with a kite!!
- Further your skill and
control of an inflatable kite
- Practice the important skill
of kite control in the wind windows (the areas where your kite gains
and loses power)
- Learn to launch and land
your kite on land.
Day/session 3 – Moving from land
- Learn the water based safety
- Learn to launch your kite
out of the water
- Start your first body drags
(get used to the power of the kite in the “power zones”)
- Learn the skill of body
dragging up wind (board recovery)
Day/session 4 – Find your feet
and learn to ride!!
- It’s time for some board
- Practice board stability
(getting used to the feeling of putting the board on your feet)
- Practice your first water
starts and see yourself develop beginning riding skills
Day/session 5 (optional) –
Further your skill!!
- Fine tweak any problems that
you may be struggling with
- Further develop your board
Private Lesson – 1 on 1 tuition
- If you looking to extend
your trick list or build confidence with any difficulties.
Pricing and Package Deals
The choice is yours:
- If you would like to do the
lessons session by session (pay for the lessons as you go along for
every 2 hour session you have). Set rate of R440 per session per
- If you would like to do
just the 4 sessions making yourself self sufficient with the kite
enabling you to continue your progress by yourself. R 1750.
- If you choose to complete
the full course along with the extra session (10 hours). R 2050.
Bring a friend:
- 1 Friend to complete the
full course = R 3850/ R 1925 PP
- 2 Friends to complete the
full course = R 5300/ R 1766 PP
- 3 Friends to complete the
full course = R 6200/ R1550 PP
Private Lesson – R 480 a session
It is also your choice as to how many sessions per day you would like to
From experience it normally benefits the student to do 2sessions in a
day (4 hours) for 2 days and then completing the course (final session)
on the 3rd day or even taking a days break and completing the course on
the 4th day!!
It is also advised to complete the course without leaving too many days
in between due to muscle memory loss and the prevention of having to
repeat skills already mastered.
NB!! Upfront payment of 50% and the balance on completion of the course.
