The Club meets on a weekly basis from 7.30 pm to about 10.30 pm on Thursdays,
at Saint Cyprian's Church hall in Umbilo Road. Directions to the venue:
From the corner of Umbilo Road and Rick Turner (Francois) Road proceed along
the right hand side of Umbilo Road past Hannah Road and past Pioneer Road.
Look for the AFM Cleantech sign on the left hand side of the road, and the church
hall is in the cul-de-sac on the right of Umbilo Road.
Details of the planned events are given below. There are three Swiss tournaments
during the year. The Club Championship will be held from March through to May. We
will play a Fischer Random tournament in the school holidays.
The UNITE Kwa-Zulu Natal Open will take place over the Freedom Day long weekend
at the end of April. In addition the Club plans to hold a one-day rapid tournament in
March, with possibly another rapid tournament later in the year.
