Haiku is a new operating system for X86 computers. it is an open-source attempt to recreate and extend the famous BeOS system of the 1990's. With the release of Haiku Alpha1 in September 2009, it gives hobbyists and enthusiasts a chance to be in on the beginning of a new movement in computing. The current version is Alpha2.
yab is an extension of Yabasic. It combines the ease-of-learning of the BASIC language with the ability to write real GUI programs. All in a good old-fashioned procedural programming paradigm, none of this brain-bending object orientation! It really is the easiest, quickest way to write small-to-medium utilities for Haiku. yab 1.5 runs on BeOS R5, Haiku and Zeta. Future versions will probably only run on Haiku. This web site contains my yab programs and other contributions to the Haiku scene.
Buddhism is one of the world's main religions. Here I store links to some resources I have written and collected over the years, my guide to the Majjhima Nikaya, an ongoing project, as well as my e-books (some of them are free!). See also the Meditatoons on my blog.
People are very visually oriented animals. How things look is important to us, so I have a small family photo album online. I'm the one with the beard.
