The picture you see on the left is one of my     parents, Dr Adalbert Henry Ernst (1890--1989) and his spouse Phyllis Maud Helen (née         Anthonisz) (1894--1975). Dr Ernst served in the Indian Medical Service and his last post was  Officer Commanding the Indian Military      Hospital,  Bellary. He resigned and emigrated in 1927,  to  settle in Tzaneen, South Africa where he became a successful farmer and businessman.
