  • Focuses listening skills (sadly lacking today and much needed)
  • Fine tunes motor co-ordinations
  • Stimulates creativity, which is itself a fulfilling experience
  • Is an outlet for emotional expression and communication
  • Therapy for the soul, something we all love.
  • Explores all aspects of the self, physical, emotional and spiritual.
  • Many happy and varied careers exist in music.

In short music is a journey of self discovery that is endless and rewarding.

It is one of the most truthful forms of expression and communication. It bonds people, creates real connection (a much needed and necessary aspect of our modern world which is largely money and consumer orientated.)

Explores a world that you cant touch, yet is one you can experience very deeply and emotionally. It can change and improve moods, such as when one is moved by a piece of beautiful music, or is motivated to get up and dance or tap out the rhythms. It is available and appreciated by everyone on all levels through it’s many styles and forms of expression, from classical, to pop, jazz and other genres.

It is used in ceremonies, weddings, religions, funerals, for marches, assemblies, functions, fund raisers, carnivals, circus, ballets, operas, plays, movies, advertising, comedy acts, as therapy for illnesses and simply for pleasure, for lovers, for nostalgia, to meditate with, or to send to sleep.

It is found everywhere from shopping malls, restaurants to lifts, through recordings on CD and other formats, prominent on radio, TV, Film, DVD, video, cell phones, computers and perhaps most importantly in live performance. We need music and clearly cannot do without it, as it forms part of our lives.
