works by JS Bach, N Paganini, A Lauro, W Walton, J Morel.

with other captivating water effects and nuances.

Experience the excitement of two guitars performing a programme of music
that spans over 5 Centuries.
The elegance of Renaissance dance suites blends into the classics of
F Carulli and C Scheidler. J Zarate’s contemporary, fun tapping
Danza and Robin Hills beautifully crafted Canzone and Tarantelle together
with Kinsey’s own unique compositions make up the more contemporary
flavours of this varied programme.
Explore the exotic world of the female dynasty of “Modjadji in
Avril’s evocative and dramatic tone poem of this famed African
Rain Queen. Experience the sandy dance of the Bushmen in (Spirit of the
Wilderness) or the lilting warmth of the Python Ritual Dance.
Complementing Avril’s unique compositions are three more traditional
African Folk Songs made famous originally by Mirium Makeba.

From the colourful expression of Rodrigo’s Spanish Songs to the
most haunting aria of Puccini‘s “O Mio Babbino Caro”.
The listener embarkes on a journey that includes Carl Orff’s “In
Trutina”, Boi Bumba by V Henrique, as well as Villa Lobos’ most
famous Bachianas Brasileiras.
The programme culminates with Cavatina by Stanley Myers and a song version
from the slow movement of Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez.

the jungles of South America, to the icy fjords of Sweden and onto the
exotic flavours of the East.
Experience a Cambodian rice pounding song, the Moo Lee Wha flower of
the East as well as lyrical and enchanting music from Costa Rica, Argentina
and Brasil. Onto Spain, the Habanera from Carmen by Bizet with castanets
and tambourine followed by a real gypsy flamenco Sevillanas.
Travel across the desert of Albania, with an exotic Ottoman inspired
melody of the 15th Century then sip a marguerita to the tune of Guantanamera.
Included is the experience of the waters off Africa in Ms Kinsey’s
unusual and captivating Evocation to a Shark.

Spanish Dance Theatre with acclaimed flamenco guitarist Bienyameen.

Our repertoire is tailored to suit the moment and style of your function.
We can perform at formal chandelier functions, to informal patio or tented
events, from boats to bomas the guitar is versatile enough to suit most
situations.
Select music from the 30’s through to today. Famous and popular
standards from such composers as Burt Bacharach, Jerome Kern, the Gibb
Brothers, Beatles, Sting, and Loyd Webber amongst others. Or add a touch
of local colour with specifically composed pieces from Ms Kinsey’s

Any of our concert programmes can also be adapted to corporate events.
BREAKFAST
or DINNER SPEAKER & Music
Ms Kinsey has been invited to give breakfast talks to Womens Organisations,
Educational Institutions, and Corporate Events. She also offers talks
on radio magazine programmes and has been interviewed in recent years
on CCFM, Radio RSA and Fine Music Radio.
Her talks are motivational, and spiritual, based on Science of Mind and
Christian principles. These same values brought her through her near
fatal car accident, which also crushed the bones of her right hand. Six
months after the accident she performed a solo recital to a capacity
audience.
Since then she has gone on to be more motivated than ever to bring inspiration,
positivity and values back into peoples lives. Her messages are uplifting,
inspiring and motivating and can be arranged with or without musical
excerpts.
EDUCATIONAL/ENTERTAINMENT
THE
MAGIC GUITAR
A 45 - 60 minute presentation suitable in formats for the very young
(6-8yrs), and (9-13) yrs, performed and explained by Ms Kinsey.
By demonstrating the guitar with it’s remarkably versatile capabilities,
Avril uncovers the magic of creating some unusual sounds, like a Fish-eagle
cry, a haunting gourd harp, even a Bushmen rattle as well as water sounds
and the eerie call of the Buff-spotted fluff tail bird.
Tracing briefly the guitar from it’s origins in North Africa through
to Europe, South America and back to Africa. Avril performs music that
includes flamenco, classical, latin and African styles. The programme
is entertaining, educational and fun. Her aim to inspire pupils to get
involved in music, to be encouraged to learn an instrument like the guitar
and to foster a love of the arts and all it’s multi-cultural layers.
